Travelling to Vienna
By car
- In order to travel on Austrian highways, you must display a toll sticker (Vignette). This costs 8,90 Eur for and can be bought at petrol stations right before crossing the border

By train
Vienna is well connected to the international rail network. International trains arrive either at Wien Westbahnhof or Wien Hauptbahnhof. From there you can take the underground, buses and/or trams.

By taxi: Journey time approx. 15 minutes.
By tram: take tram D (direction Nußdorf) and exit at Schottentor (20 min)
By metro: take U1 (direction Leopoldau), change at Karlsplatz to U2 (direction Seestadt/Aspernstrasse)and exit at Schottentor (12 min)
Arrival at the railway station Westbahnhof
By taxi: Journey time approx. 10 minutes.
By metro: take U3 (direction Simmering), change at Volkstheater to U2 (direction Seestadt/Aspernstrasse) and exit at Schottentor (12 min)
By plane
Vienna International Airport is the international airport of Vienna, the capital of Austria, located in Schwechat, 18 km southeast of central Vienna. It is the country's biggest airport and serves as the hub for Austrian Airlines and Niki.
Both the CAT (City Airport Train) and the Railway System S7 will take you directly into the city of Vienna.
S7: change at Praterstern to U2 (direction Karlsplatz) and exit at Schottentor (36 min)
CAT: the CAT terminates at the city air terminal within the “Landstraße/Wien-Mitte” railway station. From Landstraße take the underground line U4 (direction “Heiligenstadt”) until the station “Schottenring” and change onto the line U2 (direction “Karlsplatz”). Exit U2 at Schottentor. (25 min)
